October is off to a FALL-tastic start! We’ve been soaking up all the fall fun with festive art projects, exciting sensory bins, and enjoying this beautiful fall weather outside! From little hands getting creative to exploring new textures and taking in the changing season, our kiddos have been busy learning, playing, and making the sweetest memories. We’re loving every bit of this cozy fall season and can’t wait for more autumn adventures! 🍂🎃🤎

When we say it’s been an exhausting week, we mean it. 😂😴

Between wrapping up our Book Fair last week and getting ready for Picture Day next week, there’s never a dull moment at The Goddard School of Oxford! 📚📸😂

The teachers are running on caffeine, the kids are running on who knows what, and by Friday we’re all just about ready for a nap! 😂💤

Luckily, our little ones are always there to help us feel better… one back pat at a time. 😂❤️

Today we are celebrating 17 YEARS of The Goddard School of Oxford! 🥳

We are incredibly grateful for every family who has trusted us with their little ones over the years, every teacher who has poured their heart into our school, and every child who has made our school what it is today.

From our very first day to where we are now, we are so proud of the community we have built right here in Oxford. Here’s to 17 amazing years and many, many more to come! 🥂🎂

Travelin' Tom’s Coffee Truck rolled into The Goddard School of Oxford this morning, and we got to treat our AMAZING families/ parents to some much-needed coffee and refreshers! ❤️

Because let’s be honest... getting little ones out the door in the morning deserves a little caffeine reward. 😂☕️

We loved seeing all of our families stop by, grab a drink, and start their day with us! Thank you for being such an important part of our Goddard community. 💙

We had an exciting insect show today, and our little scientists LOVED it! The kids got to learn all about different bugs, get up close with some fascinating creatures, and discover some pretty cool facts along the way. 🔍

And the fun didn’t stop with insects—we even got to see a few frogs and toads! What an awesome day of learning, exploring, and getting a little closer to nature! 🐞🐸

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
