Oxford High School Girls Golf

Coaches! Do you have girls ages 13-18 with some golf experience and an interest in improving their confidence, communication, decision-making, teamwork, and leadership skills? Then LPGA Leadership Academy is the experience of a lifetime!
The Michigan event is scheduled for July 21-22 at Midland Country Club in Midland. The Academy comes at no cost to girls, ages 13-18, whose applications have been accepted. The girls are responsible for their own lodging.
In 2015, the LPGA Foundation began a new, exciting journey by introducing a two-day LPGA Leadership Academy to keep teenage girls engaged in golf and to prepare them for leadership opportunities.
Using golf as the medium, they address a key life lesson at each station throughout the Academy, helping each participant unlock their true potential. Each day will include leadership activities/lessons via golf with lunch, stations, breaks, and journaling.
We use the game of golf as a platform and learning tool to:
- teach girls how to become better decision makers
- overcome and let go of setbacks
- take calculated risks and "Lean In"
- develop skills to accomplish specific goals
- play their own game and find their own voice
