Some families don’t just become part of a dance studio—they become part of its heart. Carly’s family is one of those very special, deep-rooted families at OCD. Carly grew up dancing with us through graduation, and then her younger sister, Tori, carried on the tradition. Along the way, Mom and Dad were always there too—volunteering, supporting, cheering, and showing up for countless OCD events. Their love and dedication became woven into the fabric of our dance family. And now, the most beautiful part of the story continues. Carly is married, her daughter is currently dancing with us, and there’s a new little baby who we hope will one day take those first steps into our studio too.
What a gift it is to watch dance become a legacy—passed from one generation to the next, creating memories, friendships, and a love for OCD that lasts a lifetime.

Nikki went to OCD as a friend for Bring a Friend Week and was immediately hooked! She started dancing at 8, then received a scholarship to Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet at 15 and moved to Philadelphia to train. She went on to perform in theater-based shows, dance with Greg Thompson Productions, and at 19 landed a featured dancer role in Guam and Saipan, where she also trained extensively as an aerialist and magic assistant. She later danced with the Radio City Rockettes Alumni Foundation and performed at venues including Carolina Opry and American Music Theatre. After an injury, she continued teaching and judging national dance competitions. She eventually became a pediatric occupational therapy provider, even traveling to St. Croix to teach dance and provide outpatient therapy. Following COVID, she began working in Cecil County Public Schools and welcomed her daughter, Isla. Now 3, Isla has a natural gift for dance and performing. Thank You Nikki for being a huge part of OCD’s history and family!

From the moment she began dancing at OCD at a very young age, Miss Emma embraced every style and every opportunity to grow. She went on to graduate from Oxford Center for Dance and continue her journey at Point Park University’s School of Dance. After college, Emma became deeply involved in the vibrant NYC dance scene and continues to dance professionally in New York City today. We are so proud that, alongside her professional career, she has returned to OCD to share her passion, knowledge, and love of dance with our students. From student to professional to teacher, Miss Emma’s journey is truly inspiring. We are so lucky to have her as part of the OCD family!

Miss Kaylee started dancing at Oxford Center for Dance at an early age. Year after year, she grew not only as a dancer, but as a young woman, making memories, friendships, and discovering a love for dance that would stay with her long after graduation. Even after she graduated, Miss Kaylee never truly left OCD. She continued to stay connected to the studio and the family that had helped shape her. And today, we are so lucky to have her sharing that love and experience with a new generation of dancers as a teacher. But perhaps the sweetest part of her story is that the legacy continues. Her daughter is now dancing at Oxford Center for Dance, carrying forward the tradition that began with her mom so many years ago. From little dancer, to graduate, to teacher, and now proud dance mom—Miss Kaylee’s journey is a beautiful reminder that once you are part of the OCD family, you are always part of the OCD family.
