We sat down with Brother Fränco Gagliardi who is helping us lead the charge in bringing Phi Kappa Tau to UNLV for a quick chat about the work it takes to start an interest group on a campus without a Phi Tau chapter.

After initiating at North Texas Phi Kappa Tau, Franco transferred to UNLV and realized he had an opportunity to help bring Phi Kappa Tau to his new campus. He shares his story and gives us insight into some of the work it takes to start an interest group.

Our Chapter Consultant spotlight series continues with another new face on the team.

Meet Quentin Temple. Hailing from Martins Ferry, Ohio, Quentin is a brother of the Delta Lambda Chapter at Muskingum University and joins us as a new Chapter Consultant for 2026-27. Over the next year he'll be traveling the country, working alongside chapters to support their growth and their brothers.

Our Chapter Consultant spotlight series is nearly complete, and today we're introducing someone with a unique assignment ahead of him.

Meet Gus Thames. A brother of the Beta Epsilon Chapter at the University of Southern Mississippi, Gus comes to us from Mobile, Alabama and joins the team as a new Chapter Consultant for 2026-27. This year he'll be focused on supporting the return of our Beta Alpha Chapter at the University of Texas at Austin, working directly with founding members to build something that will last.

We're glad to have him with us, and we're excited to get him down to Texas!

Our Chapter Consultant spotlight series continues, and this week we're introducing another new face from the East Coast.

Meet Connar Ellison. Hailing from Williamsburg, Virginia, Connar is a brother of the Epsilon Lambda Chapter at Longwood University and joins us as a new Chapter Consultant for 2026-27. He'll be helping us spearhead our return to UCLA this fall and we're excited to have him on board!

The Executive Offices in Oxford, Ohio have been home to Phi Kappa Tau since 1999, and it belongs to every brother who’s ever walked through it.

This week, staff spent some time power washing, sweeping, trimming, edging, w**d eating, and cleaning up the grounds to keep it looking the part as we approach the beginning of a busy school year.

Our Chapter Consultant spotlight series rolls on, and this week we're introducing a new face from right here in the Midwest.

Meet Dylan Miller. Coming to us from Lebanon, Ohio, Dylan is a brother of the Associate Chapter at the University of Dayton and joins us as a new Chapter Consultant for 2026-27. Over the next year he'll be hitting the road, working alongside chapters and getting to know brothers from coast to coast. We have a feeling he's going to fit right in.

Four chapters. One trophy. The highest honor Phi Kappa Tau grants to a chapter.

This year’s Founders Four:

Zeta Alpha, Belmont University (Phi Kappa Tau)
Beta Beta, University of Louisville (Phi Kappa Tau | Louisville)
Kappa, University of Kentucky (Phi Kappa Tau - University of Kentucky)
Beta Gamma, University of Idaho (Phi Kappa Tau - Beta Gamma)

Four chapters that represent the best of what it means to be a Phi Tau. Only one takes home the traveling trophy.

Congratulations to our 2026 Roland Maxwell Outstanding Chapter Award recipient, Zeta Alpha at Belmont University (Phi Kappa Tau), and to the entire Founder’s Four for a year of outstanding work.

Last year, Kappa Chapter won the biggest honor a chapter can win. This year, one of their own just won the biggest honor a brother can win.

The William H. Shideler Award is presented annually to the most outstanding graduating senior in Phi Kappa Tau, named for Honored Founder William H. Shideler, Miami ‘06. It’s the fraternity’s highest individual honor for an undergraduate.

This year, that honor belongs to Michael Wheeler (Michael Wheeler) of Kappa Chapter at the University of Kentucky (Phi Kappa Tau - University of Kentucky), the same chapter that took home the Maxwell Award last year.

And speaking of the Maxwell, keep an eye out later today. We’re announcing this year’s winner in just a few hours. 👀

Congratulations, Michael. Our National organization is incredibly proud of you, and consider ourselves lucky to have men like you as a part of our brotherhood.
