Where are they now? Meet Jeysla Rosario Santos, a Miami AMAE Alum! 🌟
Jeysla graduated from Miami in 2024 with a B.A. in Arts Management & Entrepreneurship, and a B.M. in Vocal Performance. She is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Opera at the Curtis Institute of Music, while continuing to build a career as a performer and arts administrator. During her time at Miami, Jeysla was a member of the Miami University Choraliers and served as director of the Miami University Gospel Singers from 2021-2024. She was also involved with the Performing Arts Series’ Electric Root Festival and helped establish the Community Choir. Jeysla also interned at Cincinnati Opera and later returned as their Company Manager.
"Being a Miami alum means being part of a community that helped me discover that my career doesn’t have to fit into one box. I’m grateful that Miami gave me the space to develop as both a musician and an arts leader. I’m especially proud to carry that combination with me now. My time at Miami taught me to think beyond the stage and to consider how artists can also be advocates, administrators, and community builders. I’m excited to take those lessons with me wherever my career leads."
