The Farmer School of Business Professional Institute for Management Education (PRIME) is a four-week summer program designed to introduce non-business majors to fundamental concepts in business. PRIME students develop an integrated knowledge of how business works and apply these new skills while working on a project for a business client.
This year, each team investigated one of three businesses (Starbucks, Chipotle, or Graeter's) and devised a plan for Cintas to expand the services they offer to those companies. Teams then presented their plan to Matthew Barnes '99, Regional Safety and Health Coordinator II at Cintas.

"Granting students the opportunity to bolster their leadership skillset and business acumen without forcing them to choose between strictly business and another major allows each area of focus to amplify the other.
As industries continue to seek out interdisciplinary leaders, the Business Leadership co-major may offer one of the most valuable degrees, or co-degrees, a student can earn."

"The biggest thing I took away from Passport was how to be a better person, both professionally and personally.”

A sampling of some of our favorite images from presentation and capstone week here at Farmer, with students presenting the culmination of the knowledge they've garnered over the spring semester or, for some, over their entire student experience.
Whether students are presenting to their peers, a panel of judges, or real clients, they always deliver.
