Our K–1 scholars built brick cities this week during a fun, hands-on math activity led by Mrs. Burnette! 🧱🏙️ This engaging refresher allowed our scholars to review important math skills—and they absolutely aced it! 🌟📚

And just like that all 34 of our in person scholars have taken their beginning of the year benchmark! Results are in and majority of our students are above grade level! We still have the joy of identifying the skills and areas we need to grow in and we plan to do just that! The first two weeks of school are behind us, a weekend welcomes us and then full curriculum roll out Tuesday! Grade book grading and pencils to paper! We’re ready! 🍎 📝

🎉🩷 What a Friday at Naturally Nourished Academy! 🩷🎉
Today at NNA, we had the BEST time celebrating our very own Mrs. Ashley’s birthday! 🥳🎂 We hope she felt all the love from her NNA family today!
But of course, we mixed the celebration with plenty of learning! 🌱📚 Our scholars worked on team-building, communication, creativity, and problem-solving through puzzles and fun dance games for our Littles. 🧩💃🏽
Our older scholars took on an engineering challenge using only paper and tape to work with their classmates and create the strongest paper structure they could! 📄💡 And let’s just say… the GIRLS came to win! 😂🩷 They took the victory across ALL of our classes! Girl engineers in the making! 👏🏽👷🏽‍♀️
And because there’s never a dull moment at NNA… Bigfoot stopped by for a visit! 😂🛻 Our boys especially enjoyed getting a tour of his old-school Chevy pickup truck—and you already know they had plenty of questions and wanted to see EVERYTHING! 😂💙 Sometimes the best learning moments are the unexpected ones!
Learning doesn’t always have to look like sitting at a desk—and today was the perfect example! Teamwork, laughter, movement, creativity, engineering, a surprise truck tour, and a little friendly competition made for a GREAT day at NNA. 🌿✨
Happy Birthday again, Mrs. Ashley! 🎈🎂🩷 And to all of our NNA families, have a wonderful and safe weekend!

🩷✨ Learning Our Names, One Letter at a Time! ✨🩷
Our little scholars had a sweet hands-on literacy activity today! They practiced identifying their own names while strengthening letter recognition and letter formation using colorful stickers. 🔤🌈
Activities like this make early learning FUN while building the fine-motor skills and confidence our little learners need for writing! ✍🏽💕

✨ Friendship Sips, Jitter Juice & Day TWO Fun at NNA! ✨🍹
Mrs. Waters-Betts has started the school year with some of the most creative and engaging activities! 💚
Today, our middle and upper scholars created their very own “Friendship Sips.” 🥤 Scholars had the opportunity to create their own drink concoctions, share them with their classmates, and spend time getting to know one another. What a fun way to build friendships, encourage conversation, and create community in the classroom!
And she didn’t leave our Littles out! 💕 Mrs. Waters-Betts read Jitter Juice and used the story to help our youngest scholars understand those first-week-of-school jitters. They learned that when we’re feeling nervous, overwhelmed, or a little unsure, we can pause, take a breath, take a sip, calm our bodies, and get ready for whatever comes next. 🌿
Mrs. Waters-Betts is always blowing us out of the water with activities that are exciting, meaningful, and captivating for our scholars! 🌟
Wonderful job, Mrs. Waters-Betts and scholars!

✨ Another Lovely Year at Naturally Nourished Academy! ✨
What a beautiful evening welcoming our scholars and families to our 2026–2027 Open House! 🌱📚
Our families gathered for an informational session where we reviewed school procedures, schedules, academics, PTO, expectations, and everything they need to know as we prepare for another successful year at NNA.
Afterward, our scholars and families toured our school grounds, visited their classrooms, and had the opportunity to meet their teachers and get comfortable in the spaces where so much learning and growth will happen this year. 💚
And of course, we had a special treat! 🥤 Our families enjoyed FREE handcrafted lemonades from Harlym World, a local young entrepreneur and one of our very own NNA scholars! Principal Parker was proud to purchase the lemonades as a special welcome for our families while also supporting one of our scholar entrepreneurs. 🌟
There is something so special about seeing our building filled again with our scholars, families, teachers, laughter, and excitement for what’s ahead.
Another school year is almost here, and we can’t wait for the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! 🍎✏️📓
