For 115 years, Baker graduates have been making an impact β
Meet Olga Kovtun, a Baker College alumna whose career blends creativity, strategy and community impact. With more than 18 years of experience, Olga owns her own wellness business, was a 2025 Troy Chamber Community Impact Award nominee, and served as Marketing & Communications Director for TEDxPontiac 2026. Through her Business Networking For Good series and more than 100 podcasts, she continues to foster meaningful connections and strengthen communities across Metro Detroit.
Olga credits Baker College with giving her the foundation to turn her creativity into a career. By combining graphic design and web development with business administration, she developed a unique ability to see both the creative and strategic sides of her work. Her hands-on experiences, and volunteer work, taught her to apply what she learned in the classroom to real-world challenges.
βBaker College empowered me to be curious, proactive, and self-driven. I learned the value of showing up, contributing meaningfully, and being grateful for every opportunity to learn. That mindset became the foundation for everything that followed.β
As Baker College celebrates 115 years of educating and empowering students, alumni like Olga are an important part of that legacy. Her accomplishments are a reflection of the impact Baker graduates continue to make long after they leave the classroom π
