The Kingdom of Shiabruck We are a Medieval Reenactment group focused on education. Shiabruck is a fictitious Kingdom set in The Middle Ages, roughly 1150-1350. She bare him four sons.

Shiabruck Is a Fictitious Kingdom set in The Middle Ages,(1150-1350). Our land set is on the border between Scotland and England, King Henry the Red's mother was a young lass from a small Scottish village. His father was an English Noble who raided the village and forced his mother to marry him. As Henry was the youngest, he set a plot to rid himself of his brothers and his English father thus claiming the throne for himself. One by one he picked off his brothers using his wits. Some he killed, one he sent off on a fools journey never to be seen again. He saved his father for the last besting him in combat and putting him down for the abuses leveled upon his mother and gaining his crown in the process. King Henry the Red ruled as a fair and honest ruler beloved by all who met him yet feared by his enemies for his ruthless cunning and overwhelming success in battle. He sired 2 sons and a daughter (officially). Prince Cedric, Princess Jacqueline and Prince Fox. Prince Cedric was lost in battle in the crusades, his broken sword returned to King Henry and reforged and is now kept by Prince Fox. Princess Jacqueline married an Englishman by the name of James and now lives with him outside the kingdom. She bore 2 daughters and a son who sometimes visit their family in the kingdom. Prince Fox became famous as a fighter and spent many a year fighting in the crusades. Recently people from the small village that King Henry's mother grew up in have beseeched help from his Majesty King Henry who has decided to abdicate his throne and have his son Prince Fox crowned King and he has left to help his mother's countrymen and to live his life out from under the weight of the crown.

The map above is probably the most detailed map of Medieval Trade Routes in Europe, Asia and Africa in the 11th and 12th centuries you can find online. It includes major and minor locations, major and minor routes, sea routes, canals and roads.

There have been rumors of the demise of Magical Realm Fantasy Faire. They have been greatly overstated.

Shiabruck has over the years had a few female warriors within our ranks. We know they can be just as good and fierce as their male counterparts (some even more so) but what would they have traditionally worn to battle?

Everyone knows that women did not wear skimpy bikini like armor from videogames or the carved out breast shaped armor that would have been more dangerous than nothing at all but what DID women wear when they went to battle?
