Our new photography company, Strawbridge, will send proofs home after pictures are taken. Once you receive the proofs, you can decide which pictures you would like to purchase and make your payment at that time. 📷💜💚🧡

📚🐦 Vibrant Learning in Mrs. Bradley’s Reading Class! 🐦📚

Mrs. Bradley’s reading class was full of vibrant, hands-on learning✨

Students read A Bird’s Free Lunch, a text that helped them learn about birds and the foods they eat to fuel their bodies. As they read, students practiced identifying the main idea and supporting details while actively annotating the text. 📖✏️

They took that learning even further! Students explored bird beak adaptations and investigated how different types of beaks are designed for the foods birds eat. They then put their learning to the test through a hands-on science investigation—all within reading class! 🦅🦉🔍

This is a great example of what vibrant learning looks like at Crossroads—reading, science, critical thinking, and hands-on exploration all working together to make learning meaningful! 💜💚

🎉 Congratulations, Mrs. Howard! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to celebrate our new Crossroads Elementary School Counselor, Mrs. Brandhi Howard, on an outstanding achievement!

Today, Mrs. Howard was recognized at the 2026 Kentucky School Counselor Association Conference as an Outstanding Graduate Student in School Counseling, representing Morehead State University. Each participating university was able to nominate only one outstanding graduate student for this recognition!

But the honors didn’t stop there! 💜💚 Mrs. Howard was also selected from the outstanding graduate student nominees across Kentucky as the recipient of the $500 KSCA Graduate Student Scholarship!

What an incredible accomplishment and a wonderful way to begin her journey as a school counselor. We are blessed to have someone with Mrs. Howard’s dedication, passion, and commitment serving our students and families.

Congratulations, Mrs. Howard! Your Crossroads family is proud of you! 🐊💜💚

🏙️ Welcome to Array City! 🏙️

Our 3rd grade mathematicians in Ms. Brown’s class have been busy building their very own Array City! 🏢🏠🌆

Students used their creativity to design buildings while applying their understanding of arrays, repeated addition, and multiplication. The windows on each building aren’t just decorations—they represent arrays that help students visualize how equal groups and repeated addition connect to multiplication.

And the learning isn’t stopping here! Students will continue using their Array City creations to formulate and write multiplication equations, making the connection from a hands-on model to mathematical thinking and reasoning.

We love seeing our Crocodiles create, explore, and make meaning of mathematics through engaging, hands-on learning experiences!

As we settle into our new school year, we are excited to kick off our fundraising efforts to help make sure every Crocodile has a fun and memorable year! 🐊🎉

Our FIRST fundraiser is the School Store Fundraiser, and this one is super simple! 🙌
