Today we celebrate our very own Mira Recchio and all the survivors and those still fighting cancer! During Cancer Awareness month we also want to recognize the families who are in the fight right along side them! We continue to pray for those who have been affected and are still in this ongoing difficult season. We pray for healing and comfort…we pray one day NO ONE will have to go through what Mira did! We also thank God for healing and are so happy Mira is cancer free!!! We celebrate her family…especially Avi who is one rockstar sister! We love you Recchio Family! 💗 Cancer BE GONE…we are Mira STRONG!

What a field trip we had! Ask your child what they learned about oyster middens, plankton, the Piscataway native Americans, and all the creatures that like to live with the oysters in the bay! The students also loved trying try to build plankton that didn’t float, but didn’t sink..what a STEM challenge. After the Annapolis Maritime Museum, they enjoyed a cruise through the bay on the Harbor Queen!

Our Upper School students collaborated during art class with Ms. Jen recreating a painting from Pablo Picasso’s blue period! What beautiful work they created!

We remembered September 11th today as a school and read this amazing story that tells of the historic chapel less than 100 yards from the Twin Towers that miraculously survived on 9-11. Firemen hung their shoes on the fence and raced to help the people in the towers. The story of terror overcome by courage and bravery that teaches us no one is too small to make a difference. We remembered all the brave hero’s that day. We recognized how afraid everyone must have been during that time and that we can always turn to God as he tells us…”Do not fear; I will help you.” 💙

I will help you."- Isaiah 41:13

What a wonderful first week together! As a school we focused on our monthly Bible verse as we adjust to the new school year, new challenges, but the SAME GOD who will hold our hand through it all💙
