We have a fully licensed Nature Preschool, a terrific Summer Nature Camp and hundreds of free and low-cost environmental programs each year. We also have 211 acres of forest, meadows and wetlands that are great for hiking and running.

Our Eat, Drink & Learn series is back for another season! Join us for seven Thursday evenings filled with fascinating wildlife, expert speakers, great company, and, of course, a drink to match the evening’s theme.

We’re excited to welcome a special new piece to Irvine’s lobby! Created by the STEAM Club at Maryvale Preparatory School, this recycled artwork was inspired by the Chesapeake Bay and its local plant life. Students used the 19th-century cyanotype process and handmade recycled paper to bring art, science, and sustainability together in one beautiful collaboration. 🌿

The Nature Preschool, where the outdoors is our classroom.

Our little learners spend their days exploring, discovering, and building important skills through meaningful experiences in nature. From muddy adventures to moments of wonder, there’s always something new to see, do, and learn outside.

Applications are also being accepted for the 2027–28 school year and waitlist only 2026–27 school year.🌿🦋

Join us for Tales & Tails Story Time at Irvine Nature Center! This free program is the perfect way for young children and their caregivers to enjoy stories, nature, and special animal friends in a beautiful outdoor setting (weather permitting).
