Kentucky 4-H enrollment is going digital! 💻🍀

Starting September 1, families will use 4-H Online to enroll youth members and register for county and state 4-H opportunities.

Getting started is easy:

1️⃣ Manage the whole family from one account

4️⃣ Register for clubs, camps, events, and more

So long, sweet summer! Say goodbye to the dog days, and hello to fun 4-H Activities at our GET THE SCOOP event!

Bring the whole family and find out all that 4-H has to offer on either September 3rd or September 29th from 5-8PM. You can get a free scoop of ice cream, get registered in 4-H Online with help from extension staff, and if you visit each station and get your "passport" stamped, you could win a free 4-H Camp Registration for 2027 or registration to a 4-H event for the 2026-2027 program year!

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to these two COUNTRY HAM PODIUM FINISHERS!!

Austin Bourne got 2nd place ham in the 2013 division.
Ryan Preston got 3rd place ham in the 2010 division.

They each beat out over 100 others in their respective divisions to place in the top 3! Congratulations!!

Want to MASTER gardening? Become a Level 1 Junior Master Gardener!

This program, designed for grades 3 - 5, introduces young gardeners to the art and science of gardening, and helps them develop leadership and like skills to be come good citizens within their communities, schools, and families.

Come to our informational night on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026 at 6PM, held at the Owen County Extension Office. We will discuss what goes in to becoming a Junior Master Gardener, the plans for the course, and answer any questions you may have! We can't wait to see you there!

Outside of grades 3-5, and interested in being a Junior Master Gardener? Let us know! With enough interest we will begin offering higher levels of the JMG Curriculum. 🍀

HAPPY NEW (4-H) YEAR! 🎉🎊🍀

The 4-H program year starts September 1st, 2026! That means it's almost time to enroll! Everyone, even if you filled out an enrollment form in the past year, will need to register their child in 4-H Online starting September 1st, 2026. Use the link below (and in the comments) to fill out a form to receive enrollment information once it opens. This link DOES NOT register you for 4-H. You will provide us your contact information, and once the enrollment period opens, we will send you a link to register your child(ren) in 4-H.
