Attention Parents/Guardians of OMS ExcEL Science Club Members and other OMS Students who may be interested:

On Monday, September 14, OMS ExcEL Science Club will be leaving campus for Earth's Classroom and will return for Buses and Parent Pick-Up at 5:30 PM.. Only students with a permission slip returned will be able to attend. Gaming Club will NOT meet on Monday. The only groups on campus will be Reading and General Tutoring and Leadership. Please plan accordingly. Students who return this permission slip by Monday may also check the Field Trip Box for the Katy Trail Biking Day Trip on Monday, October 26th. This is 1 permission slip for all 4 Earth's Classroom dates AND the Katy Trail Biking Trip--all evens are no cost to students. The Katy Trail Field Trip is a during the school day even. Lunch, bokes, and safety gear are provided. We are strictly limited to 35 spots. Priority will be given to ExcEL Science Club Members. If your child did not receive a form tonight, one can be provided tomorrow (Friday) or print the one here and email a photo to Mr. Crowder or email me the relevant information. Spots will be filled in the order they are received. Once 35 are received, the Biking Trip will be closed. Th is a great opportunity, but the window to sign up is short.

Trace Ridder - Trace responds with a positive attitude, is polite, and follows through with doing what is expected in my classroom.

Tara Smith - Helping a student in class when they were struggling with an assignment.

Owen Steinbeck - Helping fellow students with an assignment after he was done with his own.

Parker Harris - Parker came to class ready to work. He stayed in his seat and got a lot of his assignment completed without constant reminders. He was also working quietly.

Ransom Cater - Giving a younger student his clapper at the football game.

Kyndal Eiler - Kyndal absolutely dominated her first go around at the pacer test, nearly topping the All time 6th grade girl record in her first try. She showed incredible resilience and determination that act as a good role model to her peers.

Brock Schneider - Brock demonstrated great mental and physical toughness during his pacer test. He outlasted all those in his class and pushed himself to break 100 for the first time on the test.

Hannah Malkowsky McQueen - Hannah consistently follows the instructions and expectations. She's a great role model for my class, and I enjoy having her in my 7th hour.

Brynlee Bastunas - Brynlee saw a student struggling to get things in his locker. He dropped some books, and she picked them up for him.

Owen Ray - Owen broke the all-time pushup record for the fitnessgram for all grade levels with 84 pushups.

Trace Ridder - Trace broke the all-time plank record recording a time over 10 minutes. He showed grit and determination in achieving this feat.

Gia Comparato - Gia offered to help another student with her math assignment in Dutch Hall.

Lillyana Politte - Lillyana is always doing the right thing in both Comm. Arts and in Dutch Hall. She has been proactive by bringing a book to read and staying busy always.

Ollie Ray - Ollie chose to ignore distractions in Dutch Hall both Wednesday and Thursday and chose to read silently while logging time in Beanstack.

Gracie Sullins - Gracie is a model student in my class. She is quiet, well-behaved, and always does her best! I appreciate her.

Brock Schneider - Brock is mature, responsible, and internally driven, always giving his best in class while modeling perfect behavior.

OMS Weekly Student Shout Outs

Jayce Haeusser - A student in front of Jayce dropped his lunch tray, and Jayce helped the Cafeteria staff clean up the mess!

Mason Nowack - Mason cleaned up his lunch table after all of his friends left without being asked. He also helped another student with their lunch box.

Easton Geisler - Easton has been coming to class prepared, focusing on his work, and getting his assignments completed.

Addy Newbound - Addy helped a group of students out on the first day of school who were struggling with the activity. She made sure the group was able to complete the activity and understood how to do it. The activity was to make the longest paper chain using teamwork.

Christian Brand - Christian and another student participated in the rock, paper, scissors tournament and showed great sportsmanship by shaking hands before they battled.

Elijah Ghormley - Elijah and another student demonstrated great sportsmanship during a rock, paper, scissors tournament before they battled by shaking hands.

Asher Weppner - Asher has been prepared for class and is doing a great job of managing being a part of both intermediate and advanced bands. He has been a great role model for our younger band students.
