Wrapping up the year with our International Foods seniors in the best way—an unforgettable trip to Kobe Steakhouse! From great food to even better memories, it was the perfect way to celebrate all their hard work this year. 🥢🔥

And they’re not done yet! These seniors are bringing the sweetness back to OHS with a Crumbl Cookies pop-up fundraiser happening TOMORROW during lunch shifts to support our FCS classes. Be sure to stop by and grab a treat! 🍪💛

🍕✨ Yeast Bread Lab Highlights ✨🍞

Our Nutrition classes have been busy bringing science to life in the kitchen! Students explored the magic of yeast through two delicious hands-on labs—homemade pizza and cinnamon rolls.

From activating yeast to kneading dough and watching it rise, students learned how ingredients work together to create texture, flavor, and structure. The best part? Seeing their hard work turn into golden crusts, gooey cinnamon swirls, and BIG smiles 😋

These labs build real-life skills like measuring, patience, teamwork, and following multi-step processes—all while having fun!

Our FACS classes have been busy! Students have been diving into proper table settings, exploring food costing and budgeting, and learning food science through engaging, hands-on labs. From understanding how ingredients work together to building real-world kitchen and life skills, it’s been exciting to watch their confidence and knowledge grow each day!
