Owensville Parks & Recreation Department (OPRD) is very thankful for Becca Allen and her Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Club for spending the morning of September 25 sprucing up Memorial Park & Golf Course. Sixteen students mulched around trees, cell tower, and Storywalk signs and cut weeds from greens. The students did a great job giving back to the community through service and good deeds. Thank you to the generous donations of First State Community Bank, Jefferson Bank of Missouri, Legends Bank and The Maries County Bank that allowed OPRD to throw a pizza party afterwards for the students and staff.

For information on future volunteer opportunities, please contact 573-600-8231 or email [email protected].

Homecoming is tomorrow!

The weather is looking great for tomorrow, and we are planning to hold our Homecoming Parade on campus at 10:00 a.m. as scheduled. We welcome all community members to come out and enjoy the parade with us!

The attached images include a map showing parking locations and the best areas for community members to watch the parade.

Parking:
Parking will be available in both the Owensville Elementary School parking lot and the parking lot behind Owensville Middle School.

Please note that the main playground parking lot behind OMS must remain open, as the parade route will travel through that area.

Where to Watch:
The red line on the map represents the bus road connecting OMS and OES. Community members attending the parade are welcome to set up lawn chairs along the bus road to watch the parade.

Last, included in the pictures is a homecoming schedule for tomorrow. Let's make some great memories!

We are thankful for our partnership with the Gasconade County Republican. This gives our students the opportunity to write and create the Dutch Mill. You can check out their work in this weeks edition of the Gasconade County Republican newspaper!

Mrs. Amy Quertermous and her Dutch Mill Newspaper staff are excited to have the first edition of this year's Dutch Mill in this Gasconade County Republican this week! Be sure to grab a copy of the Gasconade County Republican to see the four-page insert of the OHS Dutch Mill newspaper written and created by students at OHS. Thank you to the Gasconade County Republican for working with our newspaper staff!
