IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR ANNUAL MEETING! We will be changing our Annual Meeting on 9/14 to an open house style from 5pm-8pm in order to be more COVID conscious. Guests will be free to come and go as they please. We will provide dinner in to-go boxes and tickets are available for purchase. Guests will also be able to vote in the supervisor election. We will hold an award ceremony at 5:45 for our Conservation Steward and Educators of the Year.

Last week, Senator Rob Portman visited Clermont County native Nick Cornwell’s farm to see the latest innovative approach to managing agricultural runoff. The system was constructed in 2014 and was funded through an NRCS Conservation Innovation Grant. Three years of intensive sampling shows the practice removes 50% of sediment and 30% of both nitrogen and phosphorus in the runoff. This project is just one example of our overall efforts to reduce harmful algal blooms in East Fork Lake. Interested in learning more about reducing nutrient runoff from your property or fields?
