This Memorial Day, the Apollo FFA Alumni family pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

We are incredibly proud of and grateful for our Apollo FFA alumni and members who have answered the call to serve our country.

Today, we stand in gratitude for their selflessness, dedication, and courage.

To all who have served and those we have lost: your legacy is not forgotten.

To the Apollo FFA Seniors of 2026:

Tonight, you unzip those blue corduroy jackets for the final time as active high school members. For years, that jacket has been your armor, your uniform, and your second skin. It has carried the smell of the barn, the dust of the arena, the nervous energy of contest days, and the pride of representing Apollo High School.

But as you look at it hanging there tonight, remember that the jacket was never just about the fabric. It was about who you became while wearing it.

The Legacy You Leave Behind:

You arrived here as freshmen, unsure of your place, perhaps a little intimidated by the legacy before you. Look at you now. You have grown into the leaders, the mentors, and the heartbeat of this chapter.

You are the ones who put in the early mornings and the late nights when nobody was watching.

You are the ones who taught the underclassmen how to hold a wrench, how to judge a ring, and how to speak with conviction.

You took the traditions of the Apollo FFA and breathed new life into them, leaving the chapter better than you found it.

The Bonds That Don't Break:

The true heart of FFA isn't found in the banners on the wall or the pins on your lapel. It’s found in the quiet moments in between. It’s the chaotic road trips to conventions, the shared laughter in the ag room, the pre-contest jitters, and the unspoken bond of a team that became a family.

The people standing next to you tonight have seen you at your best and supported you at your lowest.

The classrooms will fade and the schedules will change, but the roots you planted together here in Owensboro run deep.

A New Horizon:

The FFA Creed reminds us of a promise of better days through better ways. As you step out of the comfort of the Apollo Ag department and into the world, take that promise with you.

Whether your next step leads you directly into agriculture, off to college, or into a trade, you are prepared.

FFA didn't just teach you about farming; it taught you how to advocate, how to lead with integrity, and how to outwork the room. The world needs your work ethic. It needs your leadership. It needs your heart.

One Last Time:

As the graduation ceremony ends tonight and you look out at the future, remember this:

"Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve."

It isn't just a motto you memorized for a test; it is the blueprint for a life well-lived. You will always have a home here. You will always be a part of this chapter.
Thank you for your dedication, your passion, and your leadership. Congratulations, Apollo FFA Class of 2026. Keep making us proud.
