Thank you Mayor JR Knight for presenting Audubon Christian County Head Start’s Proclamation, proclaiming April 11-17th as Week of the Young Child.
We encourage all citizens to recognize the importance of early childhood education and to support and invest in young children, families, and the programs that serve them. 💙

We had a great time recently while visiting with the Audubon Lyon Early Headstart for Read Across America Week. The sunshine was awesome and so were these wonderful kiddos. Thank you for the invite and the laughs. We deputized the whole group so watch out Lyon County, there are new sheriffs in town!!

🌤️ Two‑Hour Delay Tomorrow! 🌤️
Good news — we will be open tomorrow, just on a two‑hour delay to give the roads (and our coffee) a little extra time to warm up. ☕❄️
Please also be patient as we work to reopen Audubon Area program centers throughout the region. We will share updates on specific program delays as information becomes available.

👉 We encourage you to call your program before arriving, just to make sure they’re open and ready to serve you.

Well… the snow has officially won this round! Due to the ongoing winter weather, our offices will be closed Wednesday. GRITS will run limited services and Head Start families should follow their local school's guidance.

We’re hoping the roads thaw, and we can get back to business—and back to the warmth of the office—very soon.
