Academy of Learning is aware that all our families and those who seek childcare in the state of Kentucky are entitled to continued reassurance that they are placing their children in safe and caring hands.
We have an ‘open door’ policy and any family member who produces ID and is named in our current files may visit the center at any time.
An "open door’ means parents are welcome to visit their children, even unannounced, during the day to check on their well-being. It's about fostering a sense of security and openness, encouraging parental involvement, and demonstrating the daycare's commitment to transparency.
For all families, Kentucky has a searchable website ‘Childcare Aware of Kentucky’, listing every licensed daycare in the state. This website provides the minimum standards for licensure and details the history of inspections and violations for each facility. They also offer advice on research when selecting a daycare.
In accordance with Kentucky daycare policies regarding cameras, we have cameras installed in common areas, hallways and play areas. Access to the recordings is appropriately restricted as per Kentucky administrative regulations.
The Academy of Learning Bold Forbes is happy to announce that we have invited Kentucky ALL STARS rating system to review our facility for the next steps to a level 4. Our ‘open door’ policy extends to unannounced visits from ALL STAR coaches and raters, health and safety coaches and officials, Child Care Aware representatives, Child and Adult Care Food Program monthly monitoring and state program inspections, and the State Office of Early Childhood inspections.
For questions or concerns please refer to the Chain of Command in reception for management contact information or call the center.
