The Childersburg Police Department greatly appreciates everyone who helped make it possible for our agency to receive 4 new Preliminary Breath Test (PBT) Intoxilyzer units through the Impaired Driving Grant program.

This funding is made possible through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and administered in Alabama through the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA).

These new PBT devices will serve as a further tool to assist our officers on patrol to strengthen the ability to identify impaired drivers and improve roadway safety throughout our community and get impaired drivers off the road!

Pam Hagan and Marianna Marshall are exhibiting at National Drug & Alcohol Screening Association-NDASA Annual Conference - Powered by Purpose. The conference is being held in Orange County, CA Tuesday (4/28) and Wednesday (4/29). If you’re in attendance, stop by booth A-203!

Steve Turner is at Lifesavers Annual Conference, at the Baltimore Convention Center. Exhibit hours are from 12-6 April 19 and from 8-1 April 20. If you’re in attendance, stop by and see what CMI has to fit your alcohol testing needs!

🚨🚔 Steve Turner is exhibiting at the Minnesota Chiefs Conference in St. Cloud. The conference is being held at the Kelly Inn and exhibit hours are April 14 from noon - 6:30pm and April 15 from 11am -1pm. If you’re in attendance, stop by and see what CMI has to offer for breath alcohol testing.

CMI is exhibiting this week in Cincinnati, OH at IACT Annual Conference. CMI has attended IACT for over 30 years, with this being the first year it has been held in Ohio. If you’re in attendance this year, make sure to stop by the booth and see Roby and the CMI crew! 🔬🥼🧑‍🔬

👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️CMI is exhibiting in St. Louis, MO at the DABCI Getaway Weekend conference. Healthcare professionals are gathered this weekend to learn about an array of topics, including a course on administering DOT Physicals. CMI has a long history of providing healthcare facilities with breath alcohol testing instruments used for DOT and non-DOT testing, as well as the training on these instruments.👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

Today concludes the final Intoxilyzer 8000 Maintenance Training Course for CMI. Over the years, a variety of Agencies have sent their Intoxilyzer 8000 operators through this course. Attendees are led through topics of basic pharmacology, toxicology of alcohol, theory of Infrared spectrometry, push button operations, and maintenance and repair on the instrument.
