This week has been busy in our Ready to Soar Classroom. Here’s a peak into some of the activities so far!

We’ve been learning all about volcanoes, so of course we had to make our own erupt! The kids loved adding our “super stinky smelly solution” and watching their volcanoes come to life.

They made volcano paintings to go along with what we’ve been learning with our curriculum.

We’ve been working on lots of fine motor skills too. The kids used playdough and a template to make their names and had different fine motor activities available during free time. These activities help build those little hand muscles they’ll need for writing, cutting, and other everyday skills.

Our students also put our imaginations to work! 👀 The kids were given nothing but a pair of eyes and could turn them into anything they wanted. It was so fun seeing all of their different ideas!

They practiced identifying numbers and matching them during a fun hands-on game. Learning through play makes practicing those early math skills so much more fun!

Enrolling from our waitlist for our Kindergarten Readiness Class "Ready to Soar" Soon!!

Our Ready to Soar kiddos are getting ready for ALL parts of kindergarten! 🎓🪽

One of the things we’re working on is learning what lunchtime will look like once they head off to big school. This morning at breakfast, they practiced going through the cafeteria line, waiting their turn, getting their own plate from Miss Jac Jac, carrying it to the table, and getting settled for lunch. 🍽️

It may seem like a simple part of the day, but practicing these routines now helps build independence, patience, responsibility, and confidence. Our goal with Ready to Soar is to make sure our kids are prepared for more than just the academic side of kindergarten. We want them to feel comfortable and confident with the everyday routines too! 💗

A little cafeteria practice now so they can walk into kindergarten next year like they’ve done it a hundred times. 🥹🪽

Next month we will return back to the Experienced Curriculum for our Tots, Early Preschool, and Pre-k classes. We know the students have loved the summer activities and learning.

I’m just gonna say it… not many people volunteer to spend their Saturday at training. 😂
Thankful for opportunities like this to learn, grow, and connect with other early childhood educators in our community! 🫶

Around here, we don't just throw a graduation together... we go ALL OUT. 🎓

We believe our kiddos deserve to be celebrated BIG. From custom graduation shirts (👀 here's your first sneak peek!) to a personalized ceremony and all the little details in between, we love making memories that our families will never forget.

These aren't "just" preschool graduations to us. They're huge milestones, and we're so proud to be part of them. We can't wait to celebrate our Class of 2026 on July 29th! ✨

Because at Roots & Wings... being EXTRA is kind of our thing. 💁‍♀️😂
