PTO may have officially taken a month off, but we couldn’t stay quiet for too long! 🐝
As we begin looking ahead to the new school year, we’re excited to share that our first big event will be our Highland Fall Festival taking place on Thursday, September 17th!
This year, we’re trading Boo Fest for something a little different…a classic fall festival filled with games, family fun, and plenty of opportunities to make memories together as a school community! We’re hoping to bring back the nostalgic feel of the fall festivals many of us remember growing up, while creating a fun new tradition for our Highland families.
But before we plan any other details, we need YOUR help! What games, activities, attractions, or ideas would you love to see at the Fall Festival? Drop your suggestions in the comments below! 👇
We’d also love to hear from anyone who may be willing to lend lawn games, carnival-style games, or other fun equipment for the event. If that’s you, send us a message!
Want to be part of the fun? We’re currently looking for volunteers to help with Fall Festival setup, along with several other PTO committees for the upcoming school year. If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to have you join us!

At the end of the day, PTO is all about bringing our school community together, and we can’t wait to start planning an evening full of fun for our Highland families. 💙💛
And the best part about this date? There’s no school the next day! 😎 We already can’t wait to see you there!

💙🐝 As we conclude our Highland PTO Executive Board introductions for the upcoming school year, we’re excited to share that Tiffany Donahue will be returning for her 4th year serving as Treasurer, Beth Russell will be returning for her 2nd year serving as Vice President, and Kelsey Wolfe will be returning for her 2nd year serving as PTO President!
At this point, we probably don’t need any introductions because we’re sure you’re all used to seeing our faces already—but we are ALL incredibly excited to continue serving Highland and working together to strengthen our amazing school community!
This past year brought so many exciting moments, opportunities, and growth for our PTO, and we’re looking forward to building on that momentum in the upcoming year. From supporting our students and staff to creating meaningful family experiences and growing community involvement, we’re thankful for the opportunity to continue serving alongside such an incredible school community!
Thank you, Hornet families, for your continued support and willingness to jump in and help make Highland such a special place. We can’t wait to see what this next year brings! 💛

What a BUSY last month of school it has been! As we wrap up the year, Highland PTO is so proud of all we’ve been able to give back to our school community over these final weeks!
Because of the incredible support from our families, volunteers, staff, and community partners, PTO was happy to:
⭐ Cover the cost of the 5th grade field trip and student t-shirts
⭐ Donate toward snacks, refreshments, and the photo booth for 5th grade graduation
⭐ Provide drinks and supplies for today’s HES movie day
⭐ Host our final Read-a-Thon incentive celebration for our amazing donors and readers
At the end of the day, PTO is all about strengthening our school community and creating experiences that make Highland special for our students, staff, and families, and we truly feel this year was a success in reaching that goal 💙
Thank you for supporting Highland PTO and helping us make this such a memorable school year! 🐝

💙☀️ That’s a wrap on Field Day 2026! ☀️💙
What a fun-filled day for our Hornets! From games and laughter to teamwork and smiles, today was such a great way to celebrate the end of an amazing school year! AND the Hornet himself making an appearance at the end of the day was the cherry on top! 🐝
A HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make today possible. We couldn’t pull off events like this without the support of our incredible Highland families and community. Your time, energy, and flexibility today meant so much!
📚 Yearbook Update:
Yearbooks were distributed today, but a few may have been held back so they wouldn’t get wet in backpacks from Water Day towels and gear. If you ordered a yearbook and it wasn’t in your child’s backpack today, don’t worry…it should be coming home tomorrow! 💙
