In July 2022, Cyia Robertson and Skylar Tucker participated in our incoming freshman STEM Summer Bridge Program. As part of the program, they visited Lincoln State Park, where they learned water sampling techniques with Dr. Fulgoni.

This year, as seniors in Dr. Fulgoni’s ecology course, they returned to the field and recreated a photograph from that experience four years ago. Both students will graduate this May, and we are so proud to celebrate their accomplishments!

Dr. Fulgoni took her ecology class to Slough Wildlife Management Area in Henderson to visit a wetland. Not only did the students learn about the different hydrology, vegetation, and invertebrates in wetlands but they also spent time picking up trash as they came across it!
