Saturday was a wonderful Holiday Market that brought the ORFM 2023 season to a close.
Thank you to the market members for another season of fresh & Local produce, fresh baked goods, juices and artisan created items!

This little girl, Daisy, lost her home this week when her owner passed. DCACC was called to her home to pick her up, where she was still keeping watch and protecting her person.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a passionate volunteer with Daviess County Animal Care & Control. It is an open intake shelter, which means they have to take in every animal brought to their door and every stray they are called to pick up.

So many lost pets are never claimed, and others are taken from horrific circumstances. For many, the shelter is the safest environment they have EVER been in with consistency in food, clean water, shelter, & safety.

Just like every shelter & rescue across the country, they need you!
Adoption, fostering, volunteering to give walks, baths, and socialization are critically important!
They NEED you! Even an hour before closing ( 4:30) can make a difference. In an hour, you can get 3-5 dogs outside for a walk, socialize some kittens, or give a couple of baths.

We are looking forward to seeing you at Taste of the Market tomorrow evening, June 22, featuring Jim Johnson, sponsored by the Daviess County Diabetes Coalition. The market will be open from 4:00-7:00 and sampling will begin at 5:00.

Tomorrow evenings vendors include Boucherie Winery, The Cottage, Edge Farm's Produce, Front Porch Gardening, Hart and Soul Beverages, Hill View Farms Meats, LLC, Luv My Pup, Misty Meadow Winery, and Riney Farms.

Live music will be performed by Julianna Gaynor.

Okay I wasn't sold on macaroons but a certain someone at talked me into trying them.......all I can say is OMG so good... If you like coconut and chocolate you MUST try these!!!!
