We could not be prouder of our JAG President, LaShay Vera! β™₯οΈπŸ€πŸ’™

From a young age, LaShay was determined she was going to attend college and do so debt free. Last night, during our Apollo Honors Night award ceremony, she turned that dream into reality. LaShay will be attending the University of Louisville on the 3+3 Accelerated Law Program through the Brandeis School of Law without having to worry about the financial burden associated with her major. β™₯️

Not only did she earn the following scholarships and awards, LaShay was selected as the Apollo Class of 2026 Honor Graduate and will be representing the entire senior class on graduation night. (Not too shabby for a Girls Inc. girl and a JAG kid. 😘)

Awards, Scholarships, and Recognition:
Student Council
National Honor Society
Mark Fuller Scholarship
Independence Bank John Thacker Scholarship
Michael E. Horn Family Foundation Scholarship
YMCA Young Leaders Scholarship

Our 6th period leadership class recently made a visit to Wendell Foster, where we had the opportunity to meet new people and explore new job opportunities. It was a powerful learning experience that truly touched our hearts and inspired some of our futures! πŸ’™ in

We want to give a HUGE shout-out to JAG senior Kianna Gardner! Kianna was celebrated last night during Winter Sports Senior Night and recently signed to continue her academic and athletic journey at Georgetown College.

She has a contagious spirit, is a kind and reassuring friend, and somehow manages to balance ALL of the things (work, college classes, cheer, senior year) and make it look easy. We are so proud of you, Kianna, and we can't wait to see what your future holds! πŸ’™πŸ§‘πŸ–€

We are so proud of JAG senior Kayden Green, who signed to continue his academic and athletic journey with Brescia University Wednesday night. Kayden is a member of the boys' basketball team and will be the first JAG student to pursue and complete his associate's degree during high school. ✍️

3/12/2026 ~ It's not all fun and games in JAG. We also focus on leadership and opportunity.

Our Apollo JAG President LaShay Vera and VP of Social Awareness Cielo Lopez-Soto had the opportunity to travel to Frankfort to meet with Governor Andy Beshear and Representative Suzanne Miles. The ladies were able to share the importance of their work supporting children in foster care. It was a great day and a wonderful experience. πŸ’™πŸ•΄πŸ½πŸ›

"Spending the day with amazing leaders made me feel exactly like them. Meeting the governor was the most rewarding experience JAG has given me. Thank you, JAG. 🀍" ~ Cielo Lopez-Soto

REFLECTING BACK on this past Christmas...
Apollo High School JAG, along with helpful donations from our Eagle family and generous community, was able to provide children in foster care with a special Christmas.
