Registration is open! This is our last session this school year! (Time flies). We will be making a mixed media pond biome. We will be exploring watercolor techniques, gelli print making, air dry clay, tempera paint techniques and fresco painting. The students will make a different kind of art each week and then compile it on the last week. Check out our last mixed media class pictures in our album.

Getting ready for egg dyeing tomorrow.

Egg dyeing Lab!
I'll have drip dye, dip dye, shaving cream dye, glitter and Egg-Mazing. All the mess for me, all the convenience for you! $15/one kid or $30/family.
Bring 6-12 eggs per kid. Room temperature eggs are suggested as cold eggs don’t play nice.

🐣 Open Lab Tomorrow: Easter Projects & Keepsakes
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at the studio tomorrow! If you’re looking to get a jump on Easter preparations, we have several seasonal projects ready for you to customize.

Seasonal Project Highlights
Easter Egg Door Hangers: These are part of our $15 Open Lab flat fee. They are a great way to add a personal, handmade touch to your spring decor.

Handprint Plates: These are such a special way to capture a moment in time. Because these are pottery pieces, they require glazing and professional kiln-firing.

Unique Easter Gifts: We have a variety of ceramic figurines and wooden items that make perfect, thoughtful additions to any Easter basket.

🕒 A Note on Pottery Timelines
If you are planning to make a handprint plate or any pottery piece as a gift, tomorrow is the ideal time to visit. Pottery takes 10–14 days to be processed through the kiln. Coming in this week ensures your art is finished and ready for pickup before the holiday.

Studio Details
Entry: Open Lab is walk-in only—no pre-registration required.

Pricing: $15 flat fee for standard projects (like the door hanger) OR Pottery starting at $12 (plus a $7 studio fee).

The Experience: I work hard to ensure the studio is a place where you can enjoy a "digital detox" and focus on the creative process with your children. I handle all the cleanup so you can just enjoy the making!

I’ve had so many requests for an adult-focused watercolor series, and it’s finally here! This isn’t your average "follow-the-leader" painting class. We are going deep into the science of the supplies so you can stop guessing and start creating.

Before you go out and spend a fortune at the craft store, wait. In Week 1, I’m providing everything. You’ll get to test student-grade paints against professional staples like Daniel Smith and Sennelier. We’ll also compare various papers—from basic sheets to the high-end Arches 100% cotton—so you can see exactly how the water behaves on each.

I’m working for you to make sure you only buy what you actually need and love. No more "buyer's remorse" on art supplies!
