Kelly Lee Flanagan
- Beloved family member and friend to many, respected colleague, valued mentor– Kelly Lee Flanagan, 60, formerly of Endicott, NY, died suddenly on April 18, 2020 at her home in Stockton, CA of natural causes. Kelly was born May 14, 1959. She graduated high school from Owego Free Academy in 1977. A gifted athlete, she earned numerous awards and recognition in field hockey, softball, basketball, and volleyball. She earned a full field hockey scholarship to the University of Iowa where she attended from 1977 to 1980. In 2006 she received a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of the Pacific. A strong advocate for education, Kelly’s career spanned 33 years as a Science Teacher, Assistant Principal and STEM Project Director for Lincoln Unified School District in Stockton, CA. Her energy and passion for athletics and education were only surmounted by her devotion to others (including her kitties).
Kelly is survived by herwife, PamBartlett of Stockton, CA, who was her best friend and life partner for 22 years. They were able to legally marry in 2013; her parents, Joan Mahar of Largo, FL and Robert Flanagan, Sr. of Sarasota, FL; her brother Robert Flanagan, Jr. of Warrenton, VA and sister Nancy Meyer of Seminole, FL; extended family throughout the country, as well as friends and acquaintances both personally and professionally too numerous to count.
