The 3rd Session "Housing & Community Development" brought the 2026 Leadership Tioga participants to the Owego-Apalachin Central School District Offices, where they met the newly appointed Tioga County Director of Planning, Sara Zubalsky-Peer, and discussed housing issues and topics that impact the local community including Community Needs vs. Community Resistance, Long-Term Planning in Housing Development, and Public-Private Collaboration. Participants were able to ask questions to the Director of Planning and get an overview of processes and challenges of property development and housing initiatives in the County.

The 2nd Session "Leadership Roles" brought the 2026 Leadership Tioga participants to the Waverly Central School District, where they met with Administrator Eric Knolles and Principal Ashlee Hunt, and discussed leadership roles in the school district, leadership across multiple organizations and systems, and formal vs. informal leadership roles. Participants were given a tour of the school and got to see some of the incredible programs and initiatives implemented by the Waverly District.

The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the 2026 Leadership Tioga Program!

The 2026 Leadership Tioga Facilitator will be Jackson D. Bailey II - the Tioga County Administrator. Jackson has over 15 years of management and leadership experience, including Corporate, Non-Profit, and Government, in the areas of Accounting, Banking, Budget, Human Resources/Personnel, Public Information and Administration.

The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the 2026 Leadership Tioga Program!

The Leadership Tioga Certification Program will run one 2- hour morning class each month from February through November.

Classes at various locations throughout the county will give participants the opportunity to learn more about what Tioga County has to offer. Dynamic speakers will discuss topics ranging from volunteerism, performance management, public safety and human services to name just a few.

The Leadership Tioga is a program focused on exposing current and emerging leaders to those issues that affect our communities, businesses and the public while promoting personal growth and leadership development through education, networking and skill building.

The Leadership Tioga program is committed to inspire and connect you to all services in your community.
