"We love celebrating our students as they demonstrate Christ-like character! Through our chapel shout-outs and character coins, we recognized students who are living out their faith and showing Christ’s love through their actions. Congratulations to this week’s recipients! We are so proud of you and thankful for the example you set for others! " From Mrs. Zadora

Earlier this week, our elementary students had a memorable, hands-on lesson in chapel as they learned about the woman who came to Jesus, weeping at His feet, wiping them with her hair, and anointing them with perfume (Luke 7:36–50).

To help bring the lesson to life, one brave student volunteered to have his feet covered in some pretty stinky things, including mustard, cat food, worms, sardines, mushrooms, and more! 🐟😅 Through this unforgettable demonstration, students learned how sin can pile up in our lives, become uncomfortable and difficult to deal with, and leave us in need of cleansing.

But the best part of the lesson was the reminder that Jesus offers forgiveness and can wash away our sin! No matter how messy things get, His grace is greater than our sin, and we can come to Him for forgiveness.

What a wonderful reminder for our Eagles that we can always turn to Jesus, who loves us, forgives us, and makes us clean! 🙏

Principal Appreciation Month Spotlight: Jamie White, Elementary Assistant Principal

As a child, Jamie White dreamed of becoming a veterinarian because of her love for animals. While her career path eventually led her into education rather than veterinary medicine, that same caring heart now serves students, teachers, and families every day as Rejoice Christian School's Elementary Assistant Principal.

Pictured here as a student herself, Mrs. White reminds us that God often has plans for our lives that are even greater than the dreams we imagine as children. Today, she uses her passion for helping others to encourage students as they learn, grow, and discover God's purpose for their lives.

Favorite Scriptures:

📖 Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Principal Appreciation Month Spotlight: Rita Ramirez, High School Principal (pictured when she was a sophomore in high school)

When Rita Ramirez was growing up, she wanted to be both a teacher and a writer. Today, as Rejoice Christian School's High School Principal, she has the opportunity to teach, lead, encourage, and communicate with students, families, and staff every day!

When reflecting on what her younger self would think of her today, Mrs. Ramirez shared: "The child version of me would probably be shocked by how much I have overcome my shyness!"

While she may have once been quiet and reserved, God has used her gifts and experiences to shape her into a confident leader who faithfully serves the Rejoice community.

Favorite Scripture:
📖 Job 13:15
"Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him."

Thank you, Mrs. Ramirez, for your steadfast faith, courageous leadership, and unwavering commitment to helping students grow in wisdom, character, and their walk with Christ. We are grateful for the example you set and the impact you make on our high school students every day.

Our MS/HS New Student Welcome Reception gave new students a chance to sit down with their principals for an open conversation about their experience at Rejoice! They shared what they’ve enjoyed, how they’re settling in, and ideas for making RCS even better. We’re glad they’re here and grateful to hear what they have to say!
