It was a YUMMY day at Mills Elementary School! We had a cookout thanks to Owasso Child Nutrition! We had a choice of hamburgers or hot dogs, plus beans, fries, salad, and other fruits and vegetables, including one of the world's smallest bananas!

Our Author Spotlight this month is on David Shannon, a big favorite at Mills Elementary. One of our favorites is his autobiographical story "No, David!" The idea came from a book he made when he was five years old. It featured pictures of himself getting into trouble with the only words he knew how to spell: "No" and "David". His mother saved the book and showed it to him decades later.
