Classes to restart in June
I have mt students do the exercises near the end of this video. In SNT, the hips are driven forward and glutes squeezed to activate these muscles since the hip thrust is the key to power development. Notice they point out the knee collapse, take that as you will.

I think most of you will enjoy this as much as I did. The way the spear is used in this video is similar to how we use the pole in WC. I'm sure the pole techniques in the old days would have been applied to spears, pikes and muskets with bayonets as well.

So why so many fitness post? Fitness is an important part of martial arts and one of the most effective forms of fitness training, and often overlooked, is weight lifting (Particularly Strength training
and Power lifting for martial arts).
It's unfortunate that in 2018 many martial artists still think that weight lifting is bad for your martial arts. Supposedly it will make you slow and bulky. Yes, there is a way to train to bulk up and it will slow you down, but if you know what you’re are doing and use the proper types of training, weight lifting can make you stronger, faster, MORE flexible, increase your power, improve your form (joint alignment), increase body awareness, and improve your endurance.
!Pro Fighters Lift Weights! As do other athletes that need speed, power and endurance. I will add that the proper type of training can be complicated to understand correctly (Hence the reason so many people are confused about it).
I had to go through a lot of videos and articles and videos to find one that supported my points above, so please watch, learn and enjoy.
