OHS National Honor Society (NHS)

Holiday bags for the homeless. NHS collected snack and hygiene items for the homeless in the area. We were able to create 161 snack bags and 130 hygiene bags. We doubled our donations from last year. This is our second year partnering with siblings that graduated OHS a few years ago. They take the items we donate and go out into our local area and hand deliver them to the homeless.

Applications are now available for sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Must pick up by Friday.

Currently accepting new applications for current sophomores and juniors. Stop by 8-021 for an application.

We will be collecting donations in 8-021 for Operation Tennessee. Some of these people have lost everything and it would be nice to help in any way we can.
Items needed: all sizes
Gently used/new: Clothes, Shoes, Coats
New underwear and socks
Toiletry items
Diapers and wipes
Bottled water
Juice boxes

Gatlinburg Wildfires Force Evacuations: ‘It Was Like Driving Into Hell’ Three people died and 14 were injured as high winds and a drought fueled wildfires in East Tennessee.

Induction Thursday November 17th. Arrive 12:45 Start 1:00 Families are welcome.

Fall induction date November 17th. 12:45 Invitations will go out Monday.

Received over 80 applications for membership today. Those students needed a 3.75 GPA.

Applications are now available before/after school and during break. You must have a weighted GPA of 3.75. See Mrs. McKernan in 8-021.
