Today, we received a hand written note, along with a contribution to the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF). from a former SBMEF scholarship recipient.
The scholarship recipient stated that because of the financial support, she was able to attend a university where she earned a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University and a master’s degree from the Citadel University.
45-years later, the scholarship recipient has retired from a successful career in public school teaching.
She wrote, “Thank you for your support of my education through your scholarship program. I, for one, am a life that was changed by your generosity.”
Just think how many lives this woman has touched as a result of this one scholarship.
And think of how many lives YOU can touch by making a small or large contribution to the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF) on Giving Tuesday. Make a difference!
