Kendra Applebee joined Blue River at the very end of last school year. We are excited to welcome her back as a special education Paraprofessional in our Social-Emotional Resource Room. Welcome back Ms. Applebee!

The BRE Building Leadership Team met yesterday to start gearing up for the 2026-2027 school year. Some of our tasks included:

-Reviewing staff feedback regarding our MTSS plan
-Putting the finishing touches on our Building Strategic Plan
-Developing lesson plans for teaching students our ROAR expectations in all locations
-Planning staff professional development
-Previewing our new SEL curriculum: Character Strong's Purposefull People
-Finalizing schedules and more

Bethany Clifford will be joining our Inter-related Resource team. Mrs. Clifford is coming from Texas, where she has worked in the special education field for multiple years. We are excited for her to be a part of the Blue River school community.

Our 3rd grade team went from 3 to 4 classrooms, and our fourth grade team went from 4 to 3 classrooms. We are excited to announce that Miss Kopatich will join the 3rd grade team this year! After serving in 4th grade for the last few years, she will bring an understanding of what 3rd grade students need in order to be prepared for 4th grade.
