Where in the World Are the Saints? Wednesday

Our Saints continue to make an impact and create memories all around the world this summer!

Maddy Cole, Class of 2022, was recently pictured in Panama serving through missionary work. We love seeing our alumni living out their faith and using their gifts to serve others wherever life takes them.

Meanwhile, sisters Claire Hesser, Class of 2025, and Lauren Hesser, Class of 2024, traded Kansas for some sunshine and enjoyed a summer getaway together in beautiful Florida.

Saints, where in the world are you? Whether you’re serving, traveling, working, studying, or exploring somewhere new, we want to hear from you!

Send us a message and share your adventures. You might be featured in our next **Where in the World Are the Saints? Wednesday!**

The first in school history.

Being named Kansas Gatorade Softball Player of the Year is an incredible accomplishment, but for Addison Sabers, ’27, the recognition is about so much more than awards, statistics, and accolades.

In this feature, Addison shares her journey to this historic moment while her mom, Beth Sabers, reflects on the dedication, resilience, and character she has witnessed every step of the way.

Addison's success did not happen by accident. She cares deeply, loves those around her well, and has worked tirelessly to become the athlete and person she is today. Her story is one of perseverance, faith, family, and a commitment to something bigger than herself.

Take a few minutes to read more about Addison’s journey and what has helped make her one of the best in the state. Congratulations, Addison. We are proud to call you a Saint!

One of the greatest blessings of the Aquinas community is witnessing relationships that continue long after graduation.

This past weekend, former volleyball coaches President Schenck and Coach Kim Bogart joined current coaches and former players Sarah Ikenberry '96 and Angeles Powers Principe '03 to celebrate the wedding of alumna and former player Carlyle Nusbaum '15. What makes this moment so special is not simply the photo itself, but what it represents.

Teachers and coaches do so much more than teach lessons, lead practices, or coach games. They invest in young people. They encourage, challenge, support, and walk alongside students during some of the most formative years of their lives. The impact of that investment often extends far beyond a classroom or volleyball court.

Years after graduation, former students still invite these mentors into some of life's most meaningful moments because the relationships built at Aquinas are rooted in something deeper than academics or athletics. They are built on genuine care, shared experiences, and a commitment to helping students discover, develop, and apply their God given gifts.

At Saint Thomas Aquinas, we believe education is about more than preparing students for what comes next. It is about forming young men and women who know they are loved, valued, and called to pursue life as a Saint. Moments like this remind us that the bonds formed within the Aquinas community endure for a lifetime.

The Aquinas family is special because it is built on people who choose every day to make a lasting difference in the lives of students. Long after the final whistle, graduation, or last day of class, those relationships remain. And sometimes, years later, they bring us together again to celebrate life's most joyful milestones.

Because the impact of a great coach or teacher is never measured only in wins, grades, or accomplishments. It is measured in the relationships that last a lifetime.

Saint Thomas Aquinas would like to wish all of our incredible dads a very Happy Father’s Day!

To celebrate, we invited a few special guests to share their favorite dad jokes, while others took a moment to send a heartfelt Father’s Day message to their dads. Their words and smiles are a wonderful reminder of the love, guidance, and support that fathers and father figures provide each day.

We join them in celebrating all of the amazing dads in our Saints family and beyond. Thank you for all that you do.

Happy Father’s Day from Saint Thomas Aquinas!

Many people think that once summer arrives, the school closes for a couple of months and magically reopens in August. Nothing could be further from the truth at Saint Thomas Aquinas!

Our campus is buzzing with activity all summer long. This week alone, we are hosting grade school camps including coed basketball, baseball, STEM, and many more, welcoming future Saints onto campus for fun, learning, and skill development.

At the same time, our high school students are hard at work in summer weights and conditioning programs as they prepare for their upcoming athletic seasons.

Behind the scenes, our facilities team is deep-cleaning classrooms and getting every space ready to welcome students back this fall.

We're also investing in campus improvements, including replacing sections of our concrete walkways to provide a safer experience for our students, families, and visitors.

Summer at STA may look different than the school year, but there is no shortage of activity.

It's ALWAYS a great day to be a Saint!

Where in the World Are the Saints?

Our Saints and alumni are making memories all over the world this summer, and we love seeing where life is taking them!

Members of the Class of 2025, Chloe Karges and Max Broomfield, traveled from Kansas to Washington, D.C. with their families and unexpectedly bumped into each other at a Washington Nationals/Royals game. It just goes to show that no matter where you go, the Saint Thomas Aquinas community is never too far away.

Charlotte O'Keefe, Class of 2022, recently graduated from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley after an incredible basketball career. She broke school records, finished atop the conference in rebounds, and signed a professional contract to play overseas. Before beginning her professional career, Charlotte made a special trip to visit her motherland, Ireland.

Saints, where in the world are you this summer? Whether you're traveling, working, studying, or starting a new adventure, we want to hear from you.

Send us a message and share where life has taken you. Your next adventure might be featured in a future Where in the World Are the Saints? Wednesday!

Take a Look Tuesday: HALO Edition!

One of the many media opportunities available at Saint Thomas Aquinas is our HALO class, where students bring creativity, storytelling, and plenty of personality to life.

We saved some of these lighthearted and fun videos from this past spring and are excited to share them with you throughout the summer. The HALO class continues to grow as students take on new challenges, develop new skills, and find creative ways to connect with our community.

We hope these videos make you smile as our students bring some popular trends to life, Aquinas style!

How many yoga moves did you think our students would master?

It's officially one of our favorite days of the year!

For the fourth year in a row, our mama duck chose the Saint Thomas Aquinas courtyard as the place to welcome her ducklings. What started as a fun surprise has become a tradition our students look forward to every spring.

This past spring, Coach Hetzel, our Little Saints, and students across campus helped guide the duck family on their journey to their natural habitat.

We love the joy this little tradition brings to our school and the way our community always comes together to care for God's creation.

See you next year, ducklings!
