Wednesday Saints Say...

We caught up with a whole lot of Saints this week and got a behind the scenes look at what is happening inside our classrooms!

From French to Engineering, every classroom was filled with bright, curious and brilliant minds putting their knowledge into action.

Our Cooking students were baking their famous Cowboy Cookies while learning about proper sanitation and food safety. Our Theology students were diving deep into meaningful conversations about sin and faith. In Math, students were putting our awesome Math Lab to use with Mrs. Turner as they tackled Algebra.

Biology students were getting into the science behind hypotheses and variables, while our Drafting and Engineering students were putting their minds together to design and build their mechanical projects.

One classroom at a time, our Saints are learning, questioning, creating and challenging themselves in so many different areas.

This is what learning looks like at Saint Thomas Aquinas. It is more than just sitting in a classroom. It is discovering new interests, developing new skills and broadening the mind in ways that prepare our students for whatever comes next.

96 AP Scholars. One incredible group of Saints.

We are proud to celebrate 96 Saint Thomas Aquinas students who earned AP Scholar recognition for their outstanding performance on multiple AP Exams!

Every fall, the AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college level achievement through their performance on multiple AP Exams. We caught up with our Juniors to celebrate this accomplishment and, of course, had to snap a photo with some of our newest AP Scholars!

These students have challenged themselves, pursued excellence, and put in the work. We are proud to celebrate their achievement and the dedication behind it.

AP Scholar are Students who earned scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.

AP Scholar with Honor is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

AP Scholar with Distinction is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

This year, we are blessed to welcome Fr. Waldeck to the Saints community! As he begins his first year with our school community, we’re excited to get to know more about our cool, new chaplain!

From celebrating Mass and leading us in prayer to leading cheers at the Kicks for Kids soccer game, Fr. Waldeck is already becoming such a special part of our community.

Monday with the Saints is a reminder that we don’t walk our faith journey alone. We’re grateful to have Fr. Waldeck walking alongside our Saints this year as we continue to live our mission and grow closer to Christ.

Wednesday Saints Say

Wednesday Saints Say… our fall sports teams tried their luck at stopping the clock on 7 seconds!

The catch? It’s already stopped. But they didn’t know that! We just wanted to capture the smiles, laughs and pure joy when they thought they nailed it right on time.

Tennis has already had its first quad match, and soccer is right around the corner with Kicks for Kids this Friday at home!

What better way to introduce our fall sports teams than with a little fun? They thought they were competing… but really, we just wanted to see them smile!

The School Supply Drive was a HUGE success! Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Saint Thomas Aquinas community, we collected and donated 20,856 school supply items and $1,500 in gift cards to help support the students, faculty, and staff at Resurrection Catholic School.

The Freshman Class made history by earning the first Class Competition win of the year, and they did it in an incredible three days! Not only did they reach their goal, but every class exceeded its goal, making this School Supply Drive an exciting success for the entire school.

For more than 20 years, Saint Thomas Aquinas has partnered with Resurrection Catholic School to support its students and staff, and this year, the Saints truly showed up and showed out. This is what it truly means to be a Saint: coming together, giving back, and making a difference in our community. Thank you to everyone who donated, collected, organized, and supported this drive. Your generosity will make a difference for so many!

Monday with the Saints takes on a whole new meaning this year as our STUCO introduces our yearly motto: Many Goals, One Mission.

We all have our own goals, dreams and aspirations, but our one mission is to strive each day to become who we are called to be: saints. Our ultimate mission is heaven.

At Aquinas, we have the privilege of walking alongside our students as they grow in their own authentic relationship with Christ. Along the way, they make friendships, create memories, discover their gifts and grow in countless ways.

Follow along this semester as our Saints chase Many Goals, ONE Mission.
