Kansas City Metropolitan School of the Arts

Our Story

MSAKC will be a 7-year private school of choice in the metropolitan Kansas City when fully implemented. The goal is to provide students with a rigorous academic environment, encourage artistic excellence, and provide professional enrichment opportunities to both staff and students. Students graduating from MSAKC will be prepared to enroll in an academic university, an arts conservatory, or pursue a professional artistic endeavor.

Opening in August, 2020, we will be starting with grades 9 and 10 with students taking a rigorous curriculum of Math, Science, Social Studies, and English. Students will then take 2 art-intensive blocks every afternoon in their chosen discipline of Visual Art, Theater, Dance, and Vocal.
