CEA students at the KC STEM Alliance Engineering Career Day at the KU Edwards Campus. Working with industry leaders and engineering students to look at how they are learning the KC Rising Core Competences while in high school.

LHS 2nd and 3rd period Intro to Engineering students created some great automaton. They showed creativity along with their engineering skills.

Liberty Public Schools Liberty High Civil Engineering and Architecture students at the KC STEM Alliance Design Career Day hosted by UMKC. We had a great visit to BRR Architecture Kansas City and a College and Career fair.
LHS EDD students will presenting their preliminary design proposals at 12:30 today. 5 minute presentations followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. You can watch live and ask questions right here. Tune in!

Last night’s K-12 student showcase gave LPS students and their families a chance to see the amazing work and projects being done in classrooms across the district. We also had college and industry reps there to meet with people about engineering and engineering technology degrees.
Get familiar with the acronym PLTW and tell your child’s counselor to get them into their classes. They’ll learn skills for problem solving, critical thinking, and communication that are important for EVERY career!
