We offer high level instruction in various instruments, and voice, inspiring students to reach their full potential in a supportive environment. Piano Academy of KC is in the middle of cultural scene of the city. Explore the music with a program that fits your experience and your style of learning. While we offer high quiality traditional style of teaching piano through private instruction, Piano Academy is excited to start offering Beginner and Intermediate level Group Lessons for children and adults. Group Lessons allow students to learn piano in a more interactive and fun way, while getting to know fellow musicians and making friends through creating music.

🍂 Fall is officially in full swing… but we’re still smiling from the most wonderful Summer at Music Academy of Kansas City! ✨

Our students didn’t just practice this summer — they represented MAKC on the world stage!
Huge congratulations to Pepe Galindo for winning 1st Prize in the Finals of the Global Orbifold Festival in Malibu, California! 🏆 He and Averil Crow also took part in the music camp at Pepperdine University. Congratulations to them, we are so proud of you!👏👏👏🥳

Meanwhile, back home, lessons never stopped. Just look at Kayla Nderitu lighting up the stage of our Tuyli Shire Hall as she explores the gorgeous Shigeru Kawai… pure magic under her fingers! 🎹💫

Chamber music program is about to start! Come make music with friends!

This is the perfect way for our student to bond with their peers, while making music!

Chamber music builds skills that private lessons alone can’t fully develop — listening, collaboration, confidence, and real musical teamwork.

All ages and levels are welcome!

When he's not at the desk, he loves playing guitar with Logan, one of our awesome instructors. Music has always been a huge part of his life. 🌟 What an incredible weekend at MAKC! 🌟

We just wrapped up five beautiful recitals last weekend, and we are still buzzing with joy.

From the youngest beginners to our more advanced students, every single child stepped onto the stage with so much heart, and they all did wonderfully. We watched them shine, heard their beautiful music fill the room, and couldn’t stop smiling.

We feel so incredibly proud of every student — not just for how well they played, but for the courage, hard work, and love they put into their music all year long. It’s truly humbling to be part of these moments and to witness their growth.

A huge thank you to all the families who came out to cheer them on — your support means everything. And to our amazing students… we are so proud of you. You made us beam with pride!

🎉 WHAT A DAY at the Crossroads Auditions!! 🔥

We are still buzzing!! The level of playing we saw was absolutely INSANE — so much heart, skill, creativity, and pure talent pouring out on that stage. Every single person who stepped up brought it, and we were blown away from the first note to the last.
THIS is exactly why we do it!! Moments like these remind us why we pour everything into creating a space for musicians to shine.

We are SO incredibly proud of every single one of you who auditioned. You made today unforgettable.
