🎷 Big welcome to Justin Brown, the newest addition to the Music House team! 🎶
Justin brings an incredible blend of passion, skill, and versatility—spanning classical, jazz, and rock.
He holds a Bachelor’s in Music Performance from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing his Master’s at UMKC. Beyond teaching, Justin stays active in the KC music community as a member of the Crossroads Saxophone Quartet, performing and leading educational outreach across Kansas and Missouri!
When he’s not making music, you’ll find him on the tennis court, out on the trails, working in the garden, or smoking up some classic KC barbecue. 🎾🥾🍖

Cam discovered his passion for music at age 12, sparking a journey that led him to study Guitar Performance at Musicians Institute. Since then, he’s built an incredible background as a performer, songwriter, recording engineer, and even a luthier!
Drawing from a vast range of influences—from progressive rock to classical and beyond—Cam loves helping students unlock their own creative spark. Whether he’s teaching guitar or diving into music production, his goal is to make learning inspiring, enriching, and tailored to each student’s unique artistic voice.
When he’s not teaching at Music House, you can find him honing his music production skills, writing poetry, or practicing improvisation.

An Olathe native, Levi is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies at UMKC and is an active performer and educator across the Kansas City area. He brings a wide range of teaching experience to our community—covering drum set, percussion, jazz, rock, pop, and ensemble performance, as well as specialized experience working with students with special needs.
Levi believes every student learns differently, which is why he tailors every lesson to fit each individual’s unique goals and style. Whether you’re learning for fun, prepping for school auditions, or aiming to go pro, Levi creates an encouraging environment built on strong fundamentals and creative confidence.

We’re excited to welcome Jacob Bross to the Music House teaching team! 🥁✨
Jacob is a Kansas City-based drummer and educator who earned his degree in Music Education from the University of Memphis. He brings extensive private teaching experience working with students of all ages and skill levels, helping them hone their technique while discovering the pure joy of making music.
When he’s not in the teaching studio, you’ll find Jacob performing regularly in the KC music scene, logging miles on a run, lost in a good book, or brewing up specialty coffee. ☕📚

We welcome Lisa Mckenzie to the Music House teaching team! 🥁✨
Lisa first made her mark in the pop/punk scene touring with Cher UK at iconic venues like First Avenue and The Limelight. Later, she co-founded the midwest jump-blues force Grand Marquis—touring the US for 18 years, opening for acts like Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and recording at the legendary Sun Studio.
A lifelong student of drumset and tabla, Lisa has studied with world-renowned drummers like Johnny Vidacovich, Jim Riley, and Jake Sommers. Today, when she’s not teaching, you can catch her laying down beats for Kansas City’s country rock act The Damien Gunn Band or co-hosting the podcast Rhythm Section Life.
