COVID-19 Updated Plan

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend we all take sensible steps to protect ourselves and others. This is essential to slow down the spread of any virus. When participating in our martial arts instruction yu acknowledge you are responsible for safeguarding yourself and the others in the studio.

Here is what we will be doing:

1. We ask all parents and students to advise us when they will be travelling:

A. When you will be going

B. Where you will be going

C. How long you will be gone

D. We will compare destinations to COVID-19 hotspots

2. Everyone must stay home when sick, this includes:

A. Children

B. Parents

C. Staff

D. Tuition will not be suspended when your child is training from home

3. All touch surfaces will be disinfected before and after each class.

4. Floors will continue to be disinfected before and after each class.

5. Handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds will continue to apply for children and staff:

A. After toileting

B. After blowing nose

C. After coughing or sneezing

If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 70% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.

6. Faces should be covered when we cough or sneeze; tissues should not be reused; they should immediately be thrown in the trash.

7. As we are entering summer, there will be plenty of coughing and sneezing. It is vital that we do not pass off coughing, sneezing, congestions, as allergies. For safety of everyone, proceed as if you have a virus.

8. Though we will try our best to keep social distancing, student participation in class means you are accepting the risk of potential proximity to other students, staff, and parents in the studio.

We appreciate you doing your part to keep everyone healthy and strong.

Prevention and Treatment

The Centers for Disease Control recommendations are found here: https://www.cdc.gov/

There is currently no vaccine to prevent COVID-19. The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus.

However, as a reminder, CDC always recommends everyday preventative actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory

Diseases, including:

路 Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

路 Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

路 Stay home when you are sick.

路 Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

路 Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

路 Follow CDC鈥檚 recommendations for using a facemask.

*Students will not be required to wear a facemask, however, we ask all spectators to wear one.

For information about handwashing, visit https://www.cdc.gov/handwashing/

These are everyday habits that can help prevent the spread of several viruses. CDC does have specific guidance for travelers.

06/04/2020

Classes have resumed as of May 18th with social distancing put in place. We understand many have concerns and we are open to suggestions and concerns.

03/17/2020

Due to the Covid-19 we are going to close until further notice. It has been a decision we have not taken lightly, however, we are taking our staff and student鈥檚 health into consideration. Considering the government鈥檚 request regarding social distancing, it seems this is what is best for now. Updates will follow in the following days.

03/16/2020

In light of the current Coronavirus, we will remain open until further notice. We are doing our best to clean the dojang. We ask all students and parents to use hand sanitizer as they come in. It will be placed at the front counter. If anyone would prefer private lessons during this time, please call or text 913-961-4337.
