How did we spend our weekend? We're glad you asked! Chiropractic students and practicing doctors came together at Cleveland University-Kansas City this weekend for the Motion Palpation Institute’s 2026 Adjust-a-thon!

The two-day seminar focused on sharpening assessment and adjusting skills, learning from experienced instructors, and building professional connections. Saturday’s job fair also gave students an opportunity to connect with doctors seeking interns and future associates.
Thank you to MPI, the instructors, and everyone who joined us on campus for a weekend of learning and growth! Shoutout to Drs. Wi******er, Mumma, Mennerick, Campbell, Elder, and King.

On September 18, 1895, in Davenport, Iowa, Daniel David Palmer performed the first spinal adjustment and sparked the birth of a new healthcare movement--a movement focused on the importance of proper spinal function, the spine’s relationship with the nervous system, and the effect of that relationship on health and healing.

Today, Cleveland University-Kansas City (CUKC) wishes to celebrate and honor the legacy of chiropractors around the world. Pictured here are chiropractors and chiropractic students from across the decades of our school's history across Los Angeles and Kansas City. These individuals took up the chiropractic oath to always live up to the high principles of this profession, to protect their science, and to enjoy the blessings and benefits of chiropractic. They show up every day to transform the lives of their patients and community.

Thank you to every chiropractor who seeks to make a difference in the lives of others. At CUKC, we are truly grateful that we get to shape and train past, present, and future generations of chiropractors.

Chiropractic care found its footing in the NFL not through institutional support, but through the relationships athletes built with practitioners they trusted. Three-time Super Bowl champion and Pro Football Hall of Famer Roger Craig introduced his San Francisco 49ers teammates to his chiropractor, Dr. Nick Athens, paving the way for players across the league to trust and adopt chiropractic care into their daily recovery.

Today, all 32 teams in the NFL have team chiropractors on staff. That kind of progress doesn't happen overnight, and it doesn't happen without people who champion the profession at every level.

Dr. Sherry McAllister, President of the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP), tells that story in her latest Forbes piece. It's a compelling look at how far chiropractic has come and the people who helped get it there.
