Our PTA organizes opportunities for our students to volunteer together in our community! We call these service projects "Giving Tree." Check out this upcoming Giving Tree opportunity!

Please join us by volunteering to help with UPP at the Cider Hill Family Orchard (3341 139th St., Kansas City, KS 66109). It will be on September 18th from 9-11am. We will be picking up fallen apples that will be delivered to people in need within 24 hours.

Students must provide their own transportation. Volunteer Hours will count toward the IW Volunteer Service Award. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Audrey Hatler (913) 568-4473 & Helen Stutterheim (816) 550-5880.

Hello families! Please consider volunteering to "chaperone" the concession stand during one of our four home volleyball games. Our awesome Stuco kids really run the show! We just need an adult present to keep things under control and monitor the money. It's a fun way to be around the students and help the PTA! Sign up at the link below.

Kidfest is an annual tradition that provides free fun activities for kids and families before the SMS Homecoming game on 9/25. Woods needs some friendly faces to help make the event possible! We need some students to dress as our mascot and some parents or older siblings to help facilitate a soda pop toss and bounce house. Please consider helping! Sign up at the link below!

Reminder! We'd love to see everyone at our first meeting of the year next Tuesday, 8/25, at 9am in the Woods library. Meetings are for everyone! You do not have to be a paid member to attend. PTA meetings are a great time to hear from Principal Dreiling about what's happening in the building, learn tidbits about your kid's day that they might not be sharing at home, and get to know other Woods families. See you there!
