🗓️Mark your calendars!🗓️ We’d love to see everyone at our PTA meetings this school year. You do not have to be a member to attend. Meetings are a great time to hear from administration about what’s happening in our building as well as fun ways our PTA supports students and staff throughout the year. Meetings are typically held in the library. We’ll post on our socials if there’s ever a location change. We can’t wait to see you! 🩶💙

Picture Day at Woods is scheduled for Thursday, August 13! The school needs some volunteers to assist teachers and students as they are getting their pictures taken. We are asking for two volunteers to help with each shift. This just involves directing kids in the line and keeping things moving! Shifts are only an hour if you can help for one or multiple.

Now is a great time to join the Woods PTA! Simply joining gives the PTA important funds to support our staff and students! Johnson County's early voting numbers show that younger adults—especially those in the age range of many parents with school-aged children—are underrepresented at the polls.

The constitutional amendment on the August ballot will turn our courts into partisan battle grounds. Time and again, our fair and impartial courts have held the legislature accountable when they’ve underfunded our schools. Politicians who don’t want to comply with the Supreme Court orders on school funding have publicly stated they want to elect justices so they won’t be forced to spend money on our schools.

Kansas PTA recommends voting NO to maintain our fair & impartial courts.

The Kansas Constitution requires the state to adequately fund public schools. When lawmakers have fallen short, it's been an independent Supreme Court that held them accountable — affecting class sizes, teacher pay, special education, rural schools, and more.

A partisan court, shaped by big political donors, threatens that accountability.

All Indian Woods students and their families are invited to join us on Monday, Aug. 3rd for this welcome back to school event. Our Indian Woods PTA will offer a food option for families to purchase a meal and students and families may walk the building, try lockers, complete online verfication, join PTA, purchase IW spirit wear, and visit with Zum Busing representatives between 5-7 PM. This is an open house format. More information will be sent when we return from Summer Break.

Parent Meetings for IW Volleyball, Football, Cross Country and Cheerleading will follow the Picnic beginning at 7 PM. Hope to see you there!

ALL means ALL students are going to have some fun out on the turf on 5/18! We are celebrating that we have completed testing for the year and had a great year together. All students will have time outside on some large inflatables and enjoying each others company!

As you can imagine with 400 students outside at once, we will need as many adults to help out! Please take a look at the sign up and see where you can lend a hand. Thank you.
