Michael Ciccarelli and his teacher, Kimberly Katz, would like to extend their deepest thanks to the Kansas City Music Teachers Association for the opportunities that have been provided for him to learn, grow, and perform in his study of music. Listed below are some of the achievements Michael has attained this past year.
Michael was awarded the winner of 10th grade Missouri Music Teachers Association State Piano Competition on November 10th at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Michael participated in the KCMTAโs Master Lessons and was invited by Dr. Xiting Yang, Master Teacher, to perform at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville to perform in a Masterclass given by world-renowned piano teacher and concert artist Dr. Logan Skelton on October 26th.
Michael auditioned and was selected to perform in a Masterclass on September 28th given by Christina and Michelle Naughton, duo concert pianists, at the first joint conference for the Kansas and Missouri Music Teachers Association, held at the UMKC Conservatory of Music in White Hall.
Michael auditioned for and was selected by KCMTA member Nicholas Dold, Director of the Kansas City Young Chamber Musicians, to join the senior group of advanced high school students who rehearsed for an 11-week session and performed Poulencโs Trio for Oboe, Cello and Piano on March 30th at Music Academy of Kansas City.
