Toddler and preschool activity ideas, sensory play and hands on learning ideas for little ones to have fun, learn and play.

We made a terrarium to learn how plants and insects interact similar to the real environment. We observed interactions between living and nonliving things in an enclosed environment and also discussed similarities between the terrarium environment and the real environment.

We used 12 gallon glass jar, Moss (Reindeer Moss, Forest Moss & Lichen), Potting Soil Blended with Activated Charcoal, Gardening Vermiculite, Pea Pebbles & River Stones, and will check weekly on the updates.

You can make your own by collecting these items or buy a kit which is linked in bio on my Amazon page.

Steps:
-Add ¾ inch of rocks pebbles to the base.
-Add 1½ inches of potting soil on top of the rocks.
-Place some of the seeds around the perimeter of the bottle and place a few in the middle of the bottle.
-Cover the seeds with another ¼ inch of potting soil.
-Add moss
-Water the soil with a spray bottle
-Decorate with any figurines you like
-Place the top on the terrarium carefully and set it in a sunny place. Watch and Enjoy!

Using puffy paint to paint fall leaves.
🍁we used 1/2 cup glue and 1/2 cup shaving cream to make puffy paint and added food coloring to give it a desired color. I did some green and some orange so Sophie can mix and paint🎨🖌 her leaves a different color for fall theme play.
