Volume + creativity = the perfect start to 5th grade! Our mathematicians built their very own paper robots and then found the volume of each individual piece AND their whole robot! 🤖✨📏 Who knew learning about volume could be this much fun?! 🧠💛

🦴🩻 Our 1st graders had a blast with Mrs. DeLuca in the library creating their very own hand X-rays! After learning about the human body with their teachers, students got to review what they had learned and bring their learning to life in a fun and creative way! 🔬✨🦊

🏛️🦊 Learning beyond the classroom! Today our 4th graders visited the Kansas State Capitol Building in Topeka! They’ve been learning all about our government, the three branches, and the important jobs that help our state and country run. What a perfect way to bring their learning to life and cap off an awesome unit! 📚⭐💙💚

🦊📚 Ms. Brewster’s 2nd graders had a special visit from Officer Burgess, our school SRO! 👮‍♂️ He talked with the students about their rights and responsibilities and helped bring these important lessons to life. What a great way to learn from an SRO himself! 💙💚

Teamwork was on full display in Coach Johnson’s PE class! 💪🦊

Mrs. Gooden’s 5th graders took on the Hula Hut Relays and had so much fun working together that they decided to build a quadruple decker Hula Hut afterward! 🛖🙌 And yes, it was the tallest one Coach J has ever seen his students build! What an awesome example of teamwork, connections, and confidence building! 🎉

Thirty-two students completed AGE’s Summer Reading Program by reading at least 500 minutes this summer! 🎉📖👏 Every student earned a gift certificate to the fall book fair! 🍎📚🛍️

Their new “AGE Foxes” fence sign out by the playground is such a special addition to our school. We are so grateful for this gift and the memories this wonderful group has created during their time at Aspen Grove Elementary. Thank you, 5th graders! ✨
