After 48 years of creating memories, building friendships, and providing students with opportunities to experience the world beyond Ottumwa, the Ottumwa Educational Travel Program has officially come to an end as of July 2026.
For nearly five decades, this program has given generations of students the opportunity to travel, learn, explore new places, and create memories that they will carry with them for years to come. What began 48 years ago became a meaningful tradition for countless Ottumwa families.
While we are saddened to see the Ottumwa Educational Travel Program come to an end, we are incredibly grateful for everything it has been and for everyone who made it possible.
To all of the students who traveled with us, thank you for filling these trips with laughter, curiosity, adventure, and unforgettable memories.
To all of the parents and families who trusted us with their children and supported their participation, thank you.
To the teachers, staff, chaperones, and countless others who gave their time and energy to make these trips happen, thank you.
For 48 years, this program was about giving students experiences outside the classroom, seeing new places, learning about different cultures and histories, and sharing those experiences with friends and teachers.
We are proud of the legacy the Ottumwa Educational Travel Program has had and the thousands of students and families who were part of it.
