Buck Hamlett Wildlife Educator My goal is to educate and foster an appreciation for the creatures I'm passionate about, but are often feared and misunderstood. Snakes!!

I have more than 25 years of experience as a zookeeper, working with everything from alligators and bald eagles, to monkeys, giraffes and zebras. I have worked with most animals you can name and some you probably can't. What the heck is a binturong? I hav

e given hundreds of presentations to thousands of people and have extensive animal knowledge. While snakes are the main focus of my programs, and the only live animals I use, I can tailor my topics to suit your needs. For example: Teaching a class on Africa? I have worked with lions, zebras, ostriches and many more African creatures and can top off the talk with a live African snake. For the health and safety of the snakes, programs are only offered from May-September.

Once again we had a great time at Otterfest. Lot of people learning about snakes. And the weather was perfect.

Snakes are some of the most misunderstood creatures around; whose instinctually driven brains, reactions, and energy can be hard to comprehend and so it can be hard for the mainly logic-driven human to relate.
