We will not reopen for the 2022-2023 school year.
Steps 2 Success preschool has been an amazing adventure for the last two years!! I’ve been able to connect with amazing families in the community and serve these littles in their first learning experience. I’m very thankful for the time I had as a preschool teacher and for the chance to open this preschool.
I want to send a big thank you to our parents, my husband, and to the community for being such great supporters of the school! Thank you!
We’re on to our next learning adventure at Living Stone Homeschool Academy where I’ll teach fifth grade again.

We are back into the swing of learning and fun @ Steps 2 Success. For our first STEAM day we did a pumpkin volcano experiment using household items. My favorite part was listening to their predictions before the experiment. They thought the volcano might fill the room😊 I feel so lucky to have these first time learning experiences with these kids!

*Parents: this is an easy experiment to do with your old carved pumpkins before they rot.*
Ingredients:
-baking soda
-dish soap
-vinegar
-food coloring

Last month we wrapped up our first year of
Preschool! 📚 🖍 ✂️ It was jam packed with lots of learning and fun. I was sad to say goodbye to these sweet kiddos who have grown so much! Check out the video of our last day☺️

Sharing our Earth Day and May Day activities. All of these required few materials and they would be fun to do at home with your kiddos. It was quite the process for the flower paper. (I will post the steps below.) The class enjoyed learning about the recycling process of paper and then getting their hands in the mess.

Hopefully beautiful flowers will come from our hard work. 🌸 🌎 🌳

**2021-2022 Preschool Registration coming in March**

Another important component of our preschool is Team Building! We are working on team building on a daily basis. This is a necessary skill to succeed in life. We do a lot of partner activities where teaching each other what we know is necessary. We spend time playing challenging games where we learn to cheer each other on. During this time we learn so much more than just mastering a particular skill. We learn we may not always agree or get along, and thats alright it’s part of the learning journey and it’s part of life!

To kick off the third week of February I found this topic fitting for the “blizzard” we are about to experience. ❄️

Learning outdoors! I find it’s so important to get our kiddos outside! There are so many reasons for getting young curious minds outside. We are able to take something we are learning in the classroom to a completely different environment and it helps us think differently. Sometimes there isn’t much learning going on but getting them outside to explore, get some fresh air, and burn off some energy is always good. So if the weather is bearable you bet we will be outside.

In this video not a lot of learning it taking place. But a fun game of attack the teacher with snowballs brought smiles to every child’s face. ☺️
