We’re halfway through the month of October and we’ve already done so many fall activities. We love watching their friendships grow and their excitement over learning grow too!

One month down for these 3s! 💛 Friendships have formed (and are still forming), and our classroom family is becoming closer every day. It’s been so special watching these kiddos grow more comfortable, and find their place in our classroom. Here’s to many more memories, milestones, and moments of growth together! ✨

We’re excited to share a fun, family adventure happening right here in our community. Mrs. Pender will be at Creatures of the Night on Oct. 24 and would love to see some Opportunity School families there! It’s sure to be a night full of learning, exploring, and fun!

🦉 What happens in nature after the sun goes down? Join us for Creatures of the Night and discover the amazing world of owls, bats, moths, and other nocturnal wildlife through hands-on activities, crafts, and guided hikes. Register online at go.illinois.edu/NightCreatures

We’ve just completed September with our Explorers and you’d never know we’ve only had three classes together. They have quickly learned to navigate our routine and room. Paint and playdough are the current favs…with the Discovery Tub not far behind.

These crews are ready to make it a great year and we can’t wait to see how much they grow. ♥️

We’re one month into school with our 4s classes and what a great month it’s been! As first-time 4s teachers, it’s been a joy to watch how much their socialization has grown from their year as 3s. So many kind words. So many budding friendships. Lots of great sharing and encouragement. We have loved watching it all!

Thursday night Explorers has been off to a great start! We loved all of our stories in September!

Music time is a chance for the kids to show off their moves, but playtime outside is our favorite!
